Pollock, Adninistrator, WT, City of Port Coquitlam, City Yall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C, Deir Sir: I am enclosing an excerpt from the November 20, 1972 Executive Committee report to the Board, which deals with Bleycle Registration. You will note the Executive Committee recommended to the Board that this District pass a compulsory Regional Bicycle Registration By-law which would apply to all member municipalities within the Listrict. This recomiendation was accepted by the Board on Novenber 29, 1972. The By-law would require all bicycle owmers to register their bicycles within their om municipalities. The By-law would be administered, policed and enforced by the individual municipalities. It is not considered likely that there would be costs of any Significance at the Regional level, but any that were incurred would be prorated on the basis of assessments, as set out in Section 782 (Z) of the Municipal Act. WiLL you piease place this matter before your Council and advise me if your mnicipality is in favour of this District applying for Supplementary Letters Patent which would authorize it to pass a Regivnal Bicycle Registration By-law. Youre truly, G.W.Carlisle, GWC: evd Director of Finance and Administration. Enclosure. tower t uel
