RESOLUTION:

That the appointment of Dr. Norman N. Arnott, M.Sce, FRCPC, as Director
of the Simon Fraser Union Board of Health be ratified and confirmed and that
Dr. Arnott be appointed Medical Health Officer for the City of Port Coquitlam.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

This appointment has been requested by the Simon Fraser Health Unit to
remove any legal doubt regarding Dr. Arnott's ability to act for Port
Coquitlam City.
