Please accept this letter as a formal request to proceed with
the plywood replica signs for the intersections of Patricia and
Hastings, and Kitchener and Hastings. AS you ean see from the attached
letter, Westwood School and the Principal Mr, Dick, are 100% |
behind the idea, and will provide full co=operation in Placing the
Sign at Patricia. & Hastings. The Kitchener & Hastings Sign will be
" mamed by parent volunteers, You wilt remembex that Mrs. Jonas
offered hex help (she lives at the corner of the two streets) and
‘She will be. backed. Up UY.one or two alternates.

The signs will be only part of an over=all plan to Taise the
public awareness to the area traffic problems. Some of the components
now. being Planned includes

~ a. continuing emphasis on traffic safety in the
classreon,

~ a flow of related information via the regular
' Home /School bulletins, including the Constables
violation statisties.

- direct. delivery to. all homes in the area having
street, access. to the. two. streets in, question, to
advise, the. residents. and drivers ‘who- nay not. have.
children in the schools, but who drive on the
“neighborhood: roads,

- an exchange of information and co-cperation with
Glen and Hastings Schools, an the appropriate
emphasis on safety: in-those Schools,
