THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM | | MEMORANDUM C 0 UJ N C | OCT TO: B. Kirk, october” 783 |... City Administrator FROM: F.E. Peters., P. Eng., City Engineer SUBJECT: intersection of Taylor/Langan - Public Works Committee, October tith, 1983 RECOMMENDATION: That no changes be made to the traffic control at this time. | BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: in April of 1983, Council considered a request to install four-way stops at the intersection of Taylor Street and Langan Avenue. As an alternative, the Public Works Committee had recommended improving the visibility of the two-way stop and installing painted stop bars. Council directed the Committee to review this instailation in six months, After six months the intersection appears to be operating satisfactorily. Neither the R.C.M.P. or the City Engineer have any reason to consider going to a four-way stop. There have been no further accidents within the six-month period. The recommendation is to leave the intersection as if now exists. F.E. Peters., P.
