I was distressed to learn that our council
hed rejected a motion to put a referendum on nuclear
Gisarmament to the people of Pt. Coquitlam ©

The question of survival is important to
me and many other people in this city and if our
council takes a lead on this question many more
People will become aware.of the urgency that surrounds

the arms build-up.

I hope you will reconsider this motion and

allow representation from concerned citizens as to
reesons why Pt. Coquitlam residents should have an
opportunity to hear arguments for nuclear disarmament.
