Attention: CITY ENGINEER \ Subject: ACCESS THROUGH ROUTLEY PARK Gentlemen: I am considering the installation of an "in-ground" swimming pool but am having problems due to limited access to my backyard. I wish to submit a request that you consider our use of Routley Park for access of the necessary equipment. Prior to making this request the contractor and 1 discussed its feasibility and the potential problems it may involve. 1. Damage to Park grounds - the contractor feels the job can be completed with negligible damage to the grounds and is fully ‘prepared to guarantee total restoration should the equipment cause any depressions or ruts in the grass. Cost of repair- to be borne entirely by the contractor and myself. Interuption to use of Park due to damage repairs- Because it is felt the damage will be small there should be no interuption to the use of the park, Danger to children in the Park- The excavation work will be completed in less than one day and as such would be completed while the children are in school. Regardless of this there is no question that extreme care would be exercised at all times. I hope you will note from this letter that we have given carefull thought to the potential problems that can arise from this type of access to the park and that we will deal with it in a very conscientious manner should you grant permission for its use. Thank you for taking the time out to consider this request. Installing a swimming pool is a major decision and having made that decision my family and I would be most disappointed if we were unable to proceed due to a preblem of access. 37
