Each book is part of series so if your child finds one that he can read and enjoy then he will probably want to read all of them. Early Grade 1 Books by John Burningham published by flammarion. Emilie is a delightful little girl who has a pet hedgehog named Arthur. Together they have a series of adventures which every 5 or 6 year old will enjoy. The printing is very large and clear and the illustrations are simple and exemplify the text. The emily books are fun to share with your child. Books by Dick Bruna published by Fernand Nathan. Clear text and bright pictures make these little books popular with children in grade 1. Some titles are: Le petit olseau Bonne fete, Petit Lapin!
