A Bylaw tu authorize the retention of consultant services for the City's
Downtown Revitalization program; to define: the area of the City that will be benefited
thereby; and to charge the costs thereof to the area so defined.

WHEREAS a preliminary plan has been prepared. in connection with the City's
Downtown Revitalization Scheme;

AND WHEREAS it ‘ts thought desirable to retain consultant services to refine
this preliminary plan and to define the area of the City that will be benefited
thereby and charge the cost thereof to the area so defined;

AND WHEREAS the estimated cost thereof is approximately $10,000.00;

THEREFORE, the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the city of Port
Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:

1. | Pursuant to the provisions of Division (2)’ of Part 16 of the Municipal Act a
specified area to be known as the “Downtown Revitalization (Consultant Services)
Specified Area” is hereby established and such area shall be comprised of that tract

of land included within the outline of the map section shown as Schedule “A's; which

includes those parcels of land listed in Schedule “B"; both of which schedules are

attached to and form part of the Bylaw.

2. The Council is hereby authorized to retain consultant setvices to refine the
Downtown Revitalization preliminary plan previously prepared and the necessary details
in connection therewith shall be more particularly specified and authorized by
resolution of the Council.

3. The estimated cost of retaining consultant services to refine the Downtown
Revitalization preliminary plan previously prepared shall be borne by the owners of
the land in the specified area and a sum sufficient therefor shall be recoverd from

the said owners by the levying and imposition within the said area of a rate on the
