BSne, toe - RECOMMENDATION: That City Council direct the Clerk to prepare a Bylaw rezoning Lot 'A' D.L.232 P1.20589 from C-1 to Cc-2. COMMENTS : This application is to provide the Opportunity for an existing disused butcher shop to be used for another retail-commercial use. The applicant has advised that two butcher shops have attempted to locate in the store Space but were unable to attract sufficient business. The store space has been vacant for some time. What the applicant is considering doing is to operate a food takeout service. ' This corner store location serves the entire Mary Hill vacinity south of McLean. Due to that market area, it is felt that C-2 Neighbourhood: retail- commercial services could be supported. Comments from Civic Departments and agencies are as follows: Police —- recomend additional lighting in parking lot and local alarm. Fire Department -— Fire detection equipment may be required depending on the kind of stoves used. Engineering Department - no requirements.
