A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on January 5th, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E, Peters, P. Eng., Assistant City Engineer 1. Melnechenko, P. £ng., City Planner L. Lee, City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland, Fire Chief W.Ss. Wingrove, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: Zoning Public His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking advised the meeting the following Hearing: No. 1794 - proposed by-law to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1622/24 Robertson Ave. 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered. By-law No. 1794: To remove the Zone Designation of RS-1 assigned to Lot 23, Block 4, District Lot 480, Group One, Plan 20671, New Westminster District and to assign the Zone Designation of RT-1 to the said preperty. The property is addressed as 1622/24 Robertson Avenue and is the site of an existing duplex. ‘The rezoning is being undertaken al the request of the owner so that the property may be placed in the correct zone for its current use. Mr. C. Ogilvie, 1631 Robertson Avenue inquired regarding the rules followed with respect to the zoning of duplexes and expressed his opposition to this duplex. irs. C.E. Ogilvie, 1631 Robertson Avenue expressed concern regarding parking resulting from the duplex and advised the property is untidy. His Warship Mayor G.R. Laking advised the meeting the following Proposed by-law to amend the "City of Port Coqultla ~° ing By-law, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered.
