Summary Conviction Act General Penalty $2,000.

2. I draw to your attention the fact that under the new
‘General Penalty is new $2,000 dollar fine or to
imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or to both.

Under the old Act the maximum is $500.00 or in
default of payment thereof, or in the alternative
to imprisonment for a period of time not exceeding

6 months. :

I recommend that all our present By~laws in effect
that show $500.00 dollars be amended to show $2, 000
dollars as indicated in the new Act.
