The Land Sales Committee met on Tuesday April 22nd, 1980 and
considered tha following items:

1. Sale of Donald Street Road Allowance

There is a short portion of Donald Street between Elgin and
Kingsway that although it has been in use for a good number of years docs
not provide any specific link in our downtown traffic cdreulation syatem,
We have had a request from the owners of the land fronting on Elgin Street
to abandon this shore piece of road and permit it to be incorporated as
part of the developable land in that block. The applicant owns land on
both the west and east side of the Denald Street allowance.

There will be advantages to the City as well as the City
similarly owns land on the west and east side of this road allowance front-

ing on Kingsway.

The applicant wishes te utilize the enlarged site for the
construction of a comprehensive Medical Centre building and the request haa
been referred to the traffic committee and they have cencurred that the
closure of this road would not affect the downtown traffie pattern,

The committees recommends that this portion of Donald Street be
closed between Elgin and Kingeway leaving provision for the continuation
of tha existing lane and thac the City retain the northerly portion from
Kingeway to the lane and that the portion frem the lane to Elgin be offered
for sale to the adjacent owner at the rate of $9,00 per square foot, this
portion amounts to approximately 7,900 square feet.

2. Sale of City Owned Land Warwick Avenue

With reference to the Planning and Zoning Committees March 20th,
1980 report concerning the proposed development on land between Marshall and
Warwick east of Pitt River Road, Tha Land Sale Committee considered the
valuation of the City owned land which was proposed to be ineluded in this
davelopment.

A map of the area showing the City lots and the final subdivision
configuration is attached.

Tha committes had tha benefit of a outside appraisal on this land,
There are some additional servicing costae beeause of vha large drainage courra
to Marshall Avenue that requires closure and also because of soil conditions,
