The cost is 330. fuses very encouraged to bear about Maureen's pottery background. | too have been involved with clay off and on for 18 years and am primarily seffPtauglre. I first discowered this glorious mad in our backyard when J was about five years old. f made mrad thing: ama was very theilled with my crearions J dialn't really know tere wes sch a thing as clay unsil my grade Lf shop class, when got to make a pinch pot. Later in 1979 when J mwas taking a hww-year recreational program I got to briefly towch it again, [t was then I knew J Autel te be at potter not a recreational worker. I have taken very few warksbops aver the years but my love for clay never wavered. I've been very inowved in naising ony three children, who are now aged 13, 1] and 7. During the last six years | have been working parttime for some wonderful potters on Denman Island. For one and half yearr I hawe learned sculptural techniques from Bentley LeBaron and one ar nwo days a month ! work with Janet Moe who handbuile: with coil and slabs. Since 1993, I have been Gordon Herchens ‘studio assistant earning jest about everthing chere ir te knew about studio production and the creative proces. fremain involved with my three children’s active lives, my husband's on-call skiff work, my shree parttime jobs (I help a friend cater, as well) and renovating an old house (when time and $ permic:), duc increavingly I have come for buslding a little studio where J can let my soul dance. Shave lived on Denman Inland for Jl years now. This December wall be the first time since 1985 thet! will howe a table at the Christmas Craft Fair, f feel that J cam finally begin to pursue my dream te £e 2 potter nou that my children are older and that I will soon have a space Larger than the barirroom te work.
