Came to Prince Aupert in 1923 to marry William Gwilym Smith who prede- ceased her in 1956. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Froese of Terrace, Dorothy and Paul Maslénki of Kelowna; five grandchil- dren, Janice Hooge, Michael Maslenki, Maureen Carruthers, all of Van- couver, Paula Weninger of Dawson Creek and Gerald Froese of Terrace; two great grandchildren, Gradon Hooge and Elizabeth Wen- inger; one brother Bert Franks and one sister Ethel Bratton, both of England. Mrs. Smith served with the British W.A.A.C. In World War ! and was a chartered member of the Canadian Legion Women's Auxillary and St. Peter’s Anglican Church In Prince Rupert. She moved to Terrace in 1954 and to Penticton in 1957. A- memorial service was held on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Boat Chapel of First Memorial Services In North Vancouver with Rev.
