successfully produced the St-Jean-Baptiste festival for the past three years in BC. The

mandate of the organization is to promote the celebration of French culture through
special events. The primary objective of the La Société des Mélomanes is to increase the par-
ticipation and attendance at the events and thus, create a greater visibility and awareness of
French population and culture in British Columbia.
