SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR SCHOOL ZONK DESIGNATION - KNAPPEN STREET
(Public Works Committee Meeting of February 12, 1991)

Recommendation:

That the City of Port Coquitlam designate and post Knappen Street from
Columbia Avenue to Pooley Avenue ag a 30 kph school zone..

Background & Coaments:

The Public Works Committee considered the attached repert from the
Project/Traffic Technician regarding the letter from Vickie Markham, dated.
January 31, 1991 requesting traffic safety improvements in the Kilmer School
area.

The Committee agreed that Knappen Avenue between Pooley and Columbia should be
designated as a 30kph school-‘Yone. .

The request for a sidewalk on Knappen Street adjacent to Kilmer School will be
considered at the next Public Works/Traffic Committee Meeting scheduled to be -
held on February 19, 1991.
