A Bylaw to adopt a Community Plan of -
The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam MAY 3 1986
as an Official Community Plan. JUN 9 - 1986

WHEREAS the Municipal Act auther!izes the preparation of Community Plans and
provides that the Counci| may adopt the Community Plan by bylaw as a Official

Community Plan;

AND WHEREAS a community plan has been prepared and afttec First Reading of this
By!aw the Counci! has:

(a) examined the plan In conjunction with the most recent capital
expenditure program under Section 266 of the Municipal Act to ensure

consistency between them; ;
(b) examined the plan In conjunction with the Economic Strategy Plan

entitied "Port Coquitiam Industrial Development Development Strategy" to

ensure consistency between them;
(c) determined that no applicable waste management plan exists for

consideration; :
(d) referred the plan to the Council! of the District of Coquitlam and the

Counci| of The Corporation of the District of Pitt Meadows for comment;
(e) referred the plan to the Board of the Greater Vancouver Regional

District for comment.
AND WHEREAS the Council deem it desirable to designate the community plan forming
part of this Bylaw as an Official Community Plan of The Corporation of the City
of Port Coquitiam;

AND WHEREAS the required time limits have been observed, the required Notices
have been published, and a Public Hearing has been held;

ANO WHEREAS the approval of the Minister of Municipai Sffairs pursuant to the
provisions of Section 187 of the Municipalities Enabling and Validating Act has

been obtained;

NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Councl! of The Corporation of the City of Port
Coquittam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as fol lows:

The Official Community Plan Policies marked Schedule "A" and the Official
Community Plan Map marked Schedule "8", both of which are attached hereto and
form an integral part of this Bylaw are designated as an Offictal Community Plan
ot The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam and apply to all areas of the

City.

NOTE:
1. Schedules "A" & "B" are available

for viewing In the City Clerk's
Office and In the Terry Fox Library.

2. Coples of Schedules matt & "Bt" can be
obtained from the Director of Planning
at a cost of $5.00.

3. Al! Council! members have coples.
