Re: Street Naming

The Committee has considered a suitable name for the new
street in the Ricard subdivision off York Street. Please see attached
sketch.

The Committee recommends that this street be named Frey
Place. Mr. E.R. Frey owned a Butcher shop in Port Coquitlam in the
early days. ,He was on the school board in 1927 and was an alderman
on the Port Coquitlam Council: 1932-1933. His son Vie still lives in
“Port Coquitlam. The family has been contacted and would be pleased to
allow the name to be used.

The Committee therefore recommends this short street be
named Frey Place.
