The City Clerk advised that a letter dated April 19th, 1975, from the Association of Concerned Citizens, and petitions signed by 385 persons favouring the restoration of the Agricultural Hall had been received; also, that a request had been received from Mr. Don Ray to speak to the subject on behalf of the Association of Concerned Citizens, Alderman Traboulay spoke to his Proposal and displayed a photograph of the Agricultural Hall which, he advised, was built in 1912. Renovation does not appear to be Practical or economical." and he then referred to a report from former Alderman G.R.A. MacDonald prepared in 1969 on restoring and refurbishing the building wherein it was noted the cost for this work was estimated at $23,500.00.
