The Gitxsan Child & Family Services Society is secking a person
(on a contract basis) to provide specialized services to Gitxsan
children and families in, six. Gitxsan communities. This position
will be on an as required basis.

Under the Supervision of the GCFSS Team Leader, the worker
will work with GCFSS Social Workers to provide one-on-one
specialized services to children and/or families to meet. the
objectives of plans that are developed, based on the individual
‘needs of the clients.

The successful applicant will have specialized skills and experience
in the following areas:

* Sexual Abuse Counselling
¢ Parenting Support ¢ Drug and Alcohol Abuse support

families in crisis or with high risk or special needs children. .
Using clinical and interpersonal skills as well as good
‘case management systems, the social worker will provide
a variety of services, including monitoring, preventative

Qualifications: BSW or MSW: or BA Child and Youth
Care; or M.Ed. Counselling/MA Clinical Psychology
