Ginny tells Greg she is off to visit her parents and in Act Il when Gre find himself in the Carter’s country estate, he is under the impression that the Carters (unknown to them) are Ginny’s parents, while Phillip believes that Greg is Sheila’s young lover. “Daddy, this is Gregory, the one I’ve told you so much about. Greg, this is, “my father,” is one line that adds to the confusion as Ginny introduces Greg to. her former lover, ‘Phillip, in . an attempt to explain Greg's behaviour to Phillip with as little embarrassment -to herself as possible.
