Subject: — GVRD Parks borrowing bylaw
Budget and Administration Committee meeting - March 9/94

Recommendation:

That Council approve the adoption by the Greater Vancouver Regional District Board of
Directors of Bylaw 765, a bylaw to authorize the borrowing of $3 million for the acquisition and
development of regional parks.

Background and comments:

Attached is information from the GVRD regarding the proposed bylaw. It is not clear what the
effect of the bylaw will be on the GVRD’s tax levy, the Parks function is included in the
Regional District levy, also attached is information regarding the projected i increase in GVRD’ Ss
levy as contained j in their Long Range Plan from last summer. :
