Nikolopoulos, February 28, 1978 permission be granted to extend the Casa Roma Restaurant at 2823 Shaughnessy Street to include a 35 seat lounge area. Defeated. Aldermen Traboulay and Laking voted in favour of the resolution. Prior to the foregoing resolution Alderman Keryluk advised it would be to the detriment of the present liquor outlets in the City co allow an additional liquor outlet to be established. Alderman Ranger requested that information be obtained from the Liquor Control Board on the type of licence applied for and he suggested that residents living above the proposed establishment should be given some consideration. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That the Liquor Administration Branch be requested to provide the rules and regulations pertaining to a lounge in an eating establishment. Carried. From Touche Ross Limited, March 2, 1978 advising that they wish to Touche Ross Ltd.,! Mar. 2/78 re proceed with the sale of the PoCo Valley Golf and Country Enterprises PoCo Valley Golf Club. Ltd. and asking Council concurrence that the City of Port Coquitlam does not wish to exercise its option to purchase; and that the City of Port Coquitlam consents to assign the lease of certain portions of the PoCo Valley Golf Club from the present lessee to Dr. R. MacLean. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That of $950,000.00 as advised by the Receiver-Manager in his letter of March 2nd, 1978 not be exercised. Carried. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as requested in the letter from the Receiver~Manager, March 2nd, 1978 a letter be written stating the City is willing to assign the Lease of certain portions of the PoCo Valley Golf Course to the prospective purchaser, Dr. R. MacLean. Carried.
