SUBJECT: DRAINAGE PROBLEM AT 1938 CONNAUGHT STREET
(Public Works Committee Meeting of August 4, 1992)

RECOMMENDATION:

1) That Council approve the installation of a perforated drain field to be installed on
the boulevard fronting the property at 1938 Connaught at an estimated cost of
$4,407.

That $4,407 be allocated from the Special Public Works Capital Reserve Fund for
this project.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

The Public Works Committee reviewed the attached memorandum dated July 7, 1992 from the
Assistant Operations Manager conceming the drainage problem at 1938 Connaught.

It is understood that this drainage problem existed some eight years ago and was addressed at
that timethe City Utilities Department. It is recommended that a perforated drain field be

installed on the boulevard fronting 1938 Connaught Street.
