SUBJECT: Watermain Breaks (Account No. UT71i1)

Attached is a memo from the Operations Manager dated July 22, 1991 regarding an increase in
watermain repair costs under the Water Utility Operations Budget.

In 1991 $38,495 was allocated in the Watermain Repairs Budget (UT711). As a result of
unexpected watermain breaks this year, it is anticipated that an additional $91,746.07 (for a total
1991 watermain repairs cost of $130,241.07) would be needed this year.

This item was discussed at a Public Works Committee Meeting and Committee Members were
in favour of increasing the Water Utility Maintenance Budget by $91,746.07. Please make the
arrangements to increase the 1991 Watermain Repairs Budget by $91,746.07. ,
