BYLAW NO. 2095

A Bylaw to Regulate Signs MAY 43 1985

The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open
meeting assembled, anacts as follows:

PART | = INTERPRETATION

In this bylaw

"area" of a sign means the surficial extent within the outer edge of its frame or
border;

"awning" means a moveable or temporary hood or. cover which projects from the wal |
of a building;

"background" in respect of a. facia or wal} Sign means the area on which copy can
be placed;

"banner": means a fabric, plastic or simulated cloth material other than an awning
having an area larger than 0.5 m2 on a side which contains copy and is not
permanently affixed to a building;

"billboard" means an exterior general advertising sign having an area exceeding
0.8 me;

"business" means carrying on a commercial or industrial undertaking of any kind or
nature or the providing of professional, personal or other serv! for the
purpose of gain or profit;

"canopy" means a permanent hood o- which
