The Inaugural Ceremonies and Statutory Meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam were held in the Gymnasium of the Hyde Creek Recreation Centre, 1379 Laurier Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on December 6th, 1982 at 8:00 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, D.J. Vater and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Assistant City Engineer T. Chong, Building Inspector N. Chernoff, City Treasurer J. Maitland, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief 3.". Boileau, City Collector/Deputy Treasurer 3. Fraser, Director of Community Planning W. Brown, Parks Superintendent 8. Hoogendoorn, Payroll/Personnel Director V. van Meel, Purchasing Manager T. Day, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer, and Recording Secretary D. Vyse. DEDICATORY PRAYER: Pastor R.3. Reed offered a Decicatory Prayer for the Council. STATUTORY DECLARATIONS: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Provincial Court Judge A.J. Scaow and then called upon Judge Scow to receive the required Statutory Declarations and administer the Oath of Allegiance to: John Joseph Keryluk Alderman George Robert Laking Alderman Michael Ronald Wright Alderman who then officially took their places as Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam.
