The City Planner then explained the proposed rezoning stating that the property is located at 3310 Coast Meridian Road and it is expected that the existing commercial building on the property will be demolished and that a new one storey commercial building with 3,460 square feet of retail space will be constructed following completion cf the rezoning procedures. This property is addressed as 3341~3343 Jervis Street and is the site of an existing duplex. The rezoning is being undertaken at the request of the owner so that the property may be placed in the correct zone for its current use. The City Clerk advised receipt of a letter from Mr. M.A. La Marre, 2588 Kitchener Avenue protesting the rezoning of the property from RS-l to RT-1. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking advised the meeting the following proposed By-law to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By~law, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered. By-law No. 1734: To rezone Lors 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block 22, District Lot 464, Group 1, Plan 2241, New Westminster District, and; Lots 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, Block 22, District Lot 464, Group 1, Plan 2290, New Westminster District; from RM-2 to RM-4. The City Clerk advised receipt of a letter from the applicant, Cooper Tanner and Associates Ltd. requesting that Council give third reading to By-law No. 1734. The City Planner then explained the proposed rezoning stating that the property is located on the North Side of the 2000 Block Coquitlam Avenue and it is expected that a 5l-unit three storey apartment with underground parking will be constructed following completion of the rezoning application. [It ts anticipated that the structure will contain 42 two bedroom units and 9 one bedroom units with parking provided for 77 cars.
