Aiderman Keryluk stated he felt we should look further into the “question of waivers. Alderman Traboulay stated he would not be voting for the Bylaw. Mr. Steve Dadson, representative for the Industrial Association, stated he felt dyking would be the only solution. Mr. Art Ricard, 1511 Coast Meridian Road, stated the waiver situation should be looked into very seriously as it would be very difficult to get mortgage funds in such an event. Alderman Laking stated waivers would also cause problems for people with their insurance as insurance companies would use waivers as reason for nonpayment of insurance policies. Mr. Henry Prante, 1889 Humber Cres., stated he felt the Government's view that dyking is not floodproofing was incredible. Mr. Dan Lindorff, 3323 Devon Road, stated there are problems with water not running to the dykes and that pumps are needed.
