March 21st, 1977 Prior to: passage of the foregoing. resolution, Alderman Ranger noted the change from the former six week programme was due to the amount of financing available for the programme from the School Board. It was further noted in the Report that the PoCo Marlins Swim Club will be using the pool for practice sessions during the four weeks, in addition to Public Swimming Sessions being scheduled for after school and on week-ends. From the Environmental Protection Committee, March 18th, 1977 Env. Prot.Comm.re 1977 Budget for concerning the 1977 Budget for the Mosquito Control Programme for which Mosquito Control Programme the City share would be an approximate amount of $8500. and recommending that authorization be given for the programme to proceed, so that students can be hired to commence May Ist. The report further indicates that the Vector Control Officer has made application through the Canada Works Programme for financial assistance in the hiring of staff which if approved could result in the City's share being reduced to approximately $3000. From the Environmental Protection Committee, March 18th, 1977 Env.Prot.Comm.re concerning the replacement of the Vector Control Officer's Car which is replacement of Vector Control now over 5 years old and recommending that the City proceed with the Off. Car purchase of a replacement vehicle, namely a small pick-up, subject to agreement from the Coquitlam and Port Moody, and that the City's share “of the cost, expected to be approximately $750. to $900. to be taken from the Equipment Reserve Fund. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That as recommended by the Environmental Protection Committee, March 18th, 1977, the City undertake to purchase a small pick-up truck as a replacement for the Vector Control Officer's Car, subject to receiving approval from Coquitlam and Port Moody3 AND THAT the City's share of the cost be taken from the Equipment Reserve Fund.
