Development Please accept this memorandum as a confirmation of 8 for the installation of the above mentioned major watermain, We have found it necessary to locate the Coast Meridian portion of the installation east of the sidewalk along the east side of Coast Meridian. ‘This is still within public road allow- ance but it will mean that some trees and shrubs will have to be removed. Most of the removal will be limited to serub brush and alder. TI have discussed this with, Bill Casson, G.V.uU.C. Director of Housing, and we have agreed to share in the cost of landscaping this portion of the work to fit landscaping plans, | : in with the G.v.H.c. Originally we Planned to locate the bulk of this instal1-— ation on Coquitlam Avenue from Coast Meridian to Flint. We have since investigated in detail three routes including the Coquitlam Avenue route and because of ease of installation and resulting lower estimated costs of installation we have decided to choose a Fraser Avenue route from Coast Meridian te Flint. This route also fits in better with an eventual major highway crossing (extending the south trunk watermain to the north side). A portion of the Fraser Avenue route necessarily cunts through McLean Park. it is our intention to locate the watermain along the south boundar and as part of the construction some ditch This portion rdinated with the Parks Superin~ tion programmes will not be the parks crews as part of the project th side of the park, By copy of this © Activities Committee we are outlining I believe that the abeve is in conformance with our earlier discussions. uf, MA V.G. ‘Réroh, P.
