ANNUAL SALE POTTERS GUILD OF B.C. - 3OTH BIRTHDAY SALE (Theme for our 1985 Sale) Hopefully by now you all have a blocked-off section on your calendar - NOVEMBER 28, 29, 30! Please invite your friends, acquaintances and neighbours to help us celebrate our 30th Birthday. We will be offering hot cider and birthday cake on each of the three afternoons, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are incorporating the many ideas passed on by members and customers from last year to make the Sale even bigger and better, and will continue to have a daily raffle. There will also be flower arranging demon- strations, and yes, we're still open for more ideas if you have any. Things we heard repeatedly last year were: "The prices are RISHT" and "We want more informa- tion about the potters and their work". In this latter vein we will be attempting to get out more information on the forming of clay pieces tin layman's language) in either poster form or as a hand-put sheet, so please send in a Biography with your application (or an update of your previous one). We'd like as much information as you feel like sharing for P.R. purposes. We hope to tie the information sheet/poster in with the biographies. Also it is good for your own P.R. if you can put as much time as possible in at the Sale - customers love to meet "their" potters. We will have a "$10 and Uncer" table this year - so please keep that in mind. We will be silk-screening our new logo onto our brown paper bays, and will have, as an alternative, plastic bags, "un- logoed". In the publicity department, if anyone hae any "pull" with Window Display at the big department stcres or the Pacific Centre Mall or Public Libraries, please contact Jan Jorgenson right away. Our main thrust fer hand- delivered material this year will be to saturate all the high-rise office buildings in a one-block radius around 3
