Equipment to many The Equipment and Facilities Committee of the 1986 Terrace B.C. Winter Games has come up with a long list of recommendations con- cerning the disperal of equipment following the games’ completion early next month. . A great deal of assorted items will be doled out to mostly Ter- race sports organiza- tions, but Kitimat will also be recipient of some goodies. Kitimat’s School District will get four bad- minton nets and four sets of badminton standards. The Aluminum City’s Judo Club receives 25 judo mats, plus lumber wad fasteners for fram- fg. The Kitimat Cross- Country Ski Club gets W, two-by-fours . and scorecards, The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine is also at the end of some gift- giving. It’s ski equip- ment in the form of an electronic timing device and some breakaway poles. Even the B.C. Winter Games people in Victoria will get some equipment that is not felt valid for our area, It’s plungers to mark lanes for speed skating, plus 12 clip- boards. The Terrace School District 88, and the District of Terrace winds up with major portions of equipment. The School District gets a set of 30-second basketball clocks, eight basketballs, four water bottles, netball standards - and balls, half a dozen flip-style scoreboards, two sets of volleyball standards with referee stands plus two antennae for nets, and two nets. They also get at least six volley balls. Minor items going to Terrace schools include six whistles, six pairs of wrestling anklets, two mops and two buckets. Bantams The Bantam House schedule features Sharples against North- ern Motor Inn on Sun- day, Feb. 23 and on Tuesday, Feb. 25, Northern Motor Inn takes on Tilden. CRAFTS SHOW Displays of Heritage Crafts and demonstra- tion of craft techniques will take place in the Ter- race Arena banquet room Saturday, Feb. 22, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The event, sponsored by the Terrace Regional Museum Society and Terrace Parks and Rec- reation, is part of Heritage Day celebra- tions.
