-3- Identifying trail(s) options for walking, jogging and cycling, as well as potential vistas of recreation and interpretive importance along the trail(s) network. In consultation with appropriate agencies determine potential connections of the trail(s) to other trail networks. Determining trail standards for a variety of users, including walkers, joggers, and persons confined to wheelchairs. Establishing criteria for final trail selection. Attending periodic meetings of the Staff Committee and the Parks & Recreation Committee. Facilitating workshops of municipal staff, Council, public and special interest groups and associations. Compiling comments and/or findings from the workshops. Making presentations at public meetings and to interested parties. In consultation with the staff, committee develop a draft report that will include identification of alternative trail options, potential park nodes and trail amenities, preparation of action plans, estimation of costs, appropriate organizational responsibilities, and human and budgetary resources and potential funding sources. 12. Design and prepare "camera ready", an information brochure outlining the proposed trail(s) system and development schedule. 13. Time line for the project will be three months from awarding of contract. If this time line is not sufficient, please identify alternative schedule. The consultant shall be responsible for preparing high quality final documents ina camera-ready form, which shall become the property of the City of Port Coquitlam. 5.0 PROPOSALS Proposals from consultants shall include: 1. a detailed work program and time tabie; methodology and approach to be used; proposed fee; names, qualifications and experience of project personnel; proposed time use plan for each component in Section 4.0; per diem rates for all personnel and disbursements, and references. _ ITEM | PAGE 48
