SUBJECT: REQUEST FROM B.C. TRANSIT TO ALLOW THROUGH BUS
MOVEMENTS, SOUTHBOUND - COAST MERIDIAN AT PRAIRIE
(Public Works Committee Meeting of August 10, 1993)

RECOMMENDATION:

That Council authorize :. - addition of asign ding "Except Buses" to the existing Right T.m
Only Lane sign on Coas: Meridian at Prairie and amend Traffic Regulation Bylaw, 1971, No.
1117, Schedule A, Section 8 accordingly.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

The attached memo from the Project Technician outlines the request from B.C. Transit for this
additional signage. Transit noted that this would allow the through movement across Prairie
Avenue southbound on Coast Meridian and eliminate the need to change lanes. The Committee
considered this request and approved the additional signage.
