RECOMMENDATION: That City Council TABLE this application for
two months to allow the administration to
conduct a survey of potential CS-l uses for
the property.

ALTERNATIVE RECOMMENDATION: That City Council REFUSE this
application to rezoning from CS-1
to C-2.

BACKGROUND:

This property has been the subject of controversy and a legal decision
granting the CS-1 designation. The applicant's request for access

to Lougheed Highway was not granted, restricting access toa

frontage road beside the Best Western Motel.
