Ra: City Vehicles - Policy re ‘faking Home

The present Engineering Department policy relating to City Vehicles
being taken home allows seven vehicles to be used in this ‘manner.
The City Engineer, Works & Utilities Supertintendent, Water Foreman ,
Sewer Foreman, Public Works Foreman, Trades Foreman and Chargehand
looking after Sewage Pumping Stations take vehicles home. The " ~
Public Works Committee has reviewed the present policy and can
report as follows: .

1. The Committee ‘has received no indication of improper use ‘of

- City Vehicles,

2. The present policy is necessary in order to provide Proper
24% hour per day, seven days per week coverage of the City's
Public Roads, Facilities, and Utilities.

3. The pres2nt policy was endorsed by the Municipal Council
on October 18, 1971.

On the weekend specifically questioned by Alderman Thompson
no deviations from the present policy have been discovered.
