Res Coquitlam River Dam.

Your letter of § April 1973 to Mr. Carlisle of the Greater
Vancouver Regional District calling for an inspection of the
above dam has been forwarded to me for ny attention.

This dam is owned and operated by British Columbia Hydro
and Power Authority and is inspected regularly by the Authority's
Civil Inspection Section. The Water Rights Branch has in the
past cooperated with this section in carrying out joint inspections
of certain of tneir dams and related works in whicn we have a
mutual interest, and I can assure you that their inspections
are thorough and painstaking.

In view of the considerable interest being shown in this
dam, I have made arrangements with the Authority to carry
out a joint inspection of this dam in the near future.
