The meeting will be Thursday April 18 at 8 pm sharp at the Maritime Museum. Barbara has an exciting programme planned for us. "We will have a Mack Exhibition this month. Bring with you to the meeting tuo (2) exciting pots, preferably one of your own. Everybody will play juror. We will have Sally Michener, Hiro Urakami, Madame von Hausmann, Kay Dodd and Rose Naumann who will talk about pots they have chosen and try to say why. We will discuss pots and what makes an exhibition, and whatever else you want. Please make it a success - bring pots and ideas." Barbara Exciting news about our annual exhibition and sale at Hycroft. It will be held all day Friday, November 15 and all day Saturday, November 16 at the VANCOUVER EAST CULTURAL CENTRE, a beautiful setting with oodles more room. So there will be space for individual potters to set up booths to sell their ware in addition to the usual open area where everybody can put pots together. This is a great opportunity for more potters to bring more pots. REMEMBER: NOVEMBER 15 & 16 at the VANCOUVER EAST CULTURAL CENTRE, A Handbuilding Workshop has been scheduled for early fall. A check with Fred Qwen on Thursday has given us the names of several people who had not been confirmed at the time of it's release, as taking part in the seminar. WARREN MCKENZIE - teaches at U. of Minnesota, traditional potter, work shown in Nelson's books, Ceramics Monthly often and Craft Horizons. Trained with Leach. DAVIO GILHOOLY - York University, funk potter, does frogs (Frog Victoria, Frog Trudeau, historical people. JOE FAFARD - University of Regina, another funk potter ina way, does small sculptures of people, very a- musing. Pictures of one man show in special issue of Arts Canada, Shamanistic and Ritual Arts.
