Canadian Legion closed its .doors some years back, the community has always sup- ported our poppy campaign, and regularly contribute $400-$500 each year. The Year of the Veteran is still very much a part of the day-to-day functions at the Branch, and on Sunday, - Aug. 14, we will again be - _ holding a short ceremony to’ celebrate the end 60 years ago to the conflict in the Far East. I am also still trying to locate veterans here inthe Terrace area and all. Ex Ser-- vice personnel. |. _ As of today, we have on display .in the Branch: 45 veterans’ pictures on table cards, with a short history of each, and 66 postcards displayed of all ex service personnel; I know there are more out there, so give me a - call 638-8627. .
