From the Library Construction Committee, December 12th, 1980 recommending
the appointment of Mr. Ib Hansen as the Architect to do the preliminary
architectural work for the proposed construction of a new library.

Moved by Alderman Wright:

Seconded by Alderman Keryluk:

That as recommended by the Library Construction Committee, December
12th, 1980 the appointment of Mr. Tb Hansen as the Architect to do the
preliminary architectural work for the proposed construction of a new
library, be approved;

AND THAT the work be done up to a maximum cost of $10,000.00.

Carried.

Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Keryluk asked
regarding whether work would be carried out for advertising purposes and
Alderman Wright advised the work would consist of conceptual drawings
and detailed cost estimates. Alderman Muldoon stated in her opinion a
publica information meeting should be held,

Moved by Alderman Muldoon:

That a Public Information Meeting be held on the proposed conatruction
of a new Library budlding before preparacion of a destpn te carried out

to get input frem the Public.

From the City Engineer, December Lith, 1980 regarding the work of
local improvement on Westminster Avenue,

Thac the Works of Local Improvement on Westminster Avenue for the
proposed construction of pavement, curb and pucter, and boulevard,
completing the unfinished portions of Westminster Avenue between Oxford
Street and Coast Meridian Road, be approveds

AND THAT the City Clerk be instructed to prepare the necessary by-

law,
