Item ITI = Information Onlv Re: Industrial Activity Report The Comittee has been actively persuing and informing Industrial Clients on the availability of sites. In order our Committee could ascertain the availability of land, a meeting was called on March 21st, 1973 to solicit the ideas on evolving a community arproach co ceveloping an Industrial Area. The meeting was well attended by B.C. itydvo, C.P.R. represenzatives and pro- Puerty owners. The main topic evolved around servicing, zoning, timing and the land freeze and its affects. ic was generaliy felt that a planning scheme and servicing plan should be prepared which would puide development. In order that all parties who om land in the area had an opportunity to comnent, a follow up letter inquiring as to their proposed land use, willingness to par- ticipate in servicing and permission for soil testing their properties was circulated. Again the response was very good and compilation of the material is being processed. There is a definite feeling of cooperation by the owners aud it is expected a further meeting will be called upon completion. of our submission for block exemption from Bill 42.
