From the City Engineer, January 22nd, 1992 regarding Request for Lawn
Basin Installation, Lane Behind 2244 Pitt River Road.

Moved by Alderman Keryluk:
Seconded by Alderman Talbot:

That Council approve the installation of a standard lawn basin in the lane
at the rear of 2244 Pitt River Road at an estimated cost of $800.00.

And That $800.00 be allocated from the Public Works Special Capital
Reserve Fund for this purpose.

From the Director of Planning, January 16th, 1992 regarding 1992 Planning
Grant Program.

Seconded by Alderman Thompson:

Whereas a major update of the City of Port Coquitlam Official Community
Plan has become necessary to guide future growth of the City;

Whereas the first phase of this major update is due for completion early
in 1992; and

Whereas the second phase of the major update of the City of Port Coquitlam
Official Community Plan is to be carried out during 1992, with a completion
date estimated in early 1993;

Be it resolved that:

1. The Planning Department be instructed to continue work towards the
rewriting of the City of Port Coquitlam Official Community Plan, proceeding
immediately with the second phase as soon as phase one is completed; and

2. The Planning Department be authorized to submit an application to the
Ministry of Municipal Affairs, Recreation and Culture, for a $40,000.00 grant
under the "1992 Planning Grant Program", as a contribution towards the second
phase of the drafting of a new Official Community Plan (public input on
preliminary draft, draft of final document, bylaw approval and plan issuance).
