crossing blockages in the local areas.

We, the residants of the area are petitioning the Canadian Transport Commission and ave requesting the
support of the City of Part Coquitlam through their olacted body to forward same to the C.T.C.

That the following noise probiums caused by C.P. Rell be eliminated or reduced to a minimum; also that the
very long delays at several major highway crossings be shortensd.

1. The excessive sounding of whistles particularly during the quiet hours at fully protected rallway highway
crossings.

During the switching cperations In the Port Coquitlam rallway yards, the banging of railioad cara, not only
from a noise problem but also from a safety standpoint, whore the rallways are handling highly explosive
materials and liquids.

- The continual iong traffic dolay® at the various level crossings by slow moving or stopped trains (Pitt River
’ Road Crossing, Kingsway Crossing and the Westwood Crossing.
