Dr. H.L. Purdy, Chairman of the G.V.R.D. Hospital Advisory Committee,

presented a six year building program to the Board Wednesday.

Construction of hospitals in Coquitlam and Delta is included in the
$95 million Lower Mainland Hospital Expansion Program.

No concrete details were available on plans for either the proposed
Coquitlam and District Hospital or the Delta Hospital.

However, Dr. Purdy said the Coquitlam project would involve planning
and construction of acute beds, plus diagnostic, treatment, and service facil-
‘ities.

Ratepayers will be asked to approve a By-law in October to pay the
$95 million program which will be spread over a six year period.

Cost of the construction portion will be borne 60% by the Provincial

Government and 40% by the Regional Hospital District.
