Actors prepare for “The Odd Couple”

What do a taxi driver, a mover, two
store owners, a programmer, a project offi-

cer, an accountant and a terminal admin-.;

istrator have in common?

All these folks are actors in the Ter-
race Little Theatre’s upcoming play, “The
Odd Couple”, wrilten by Neil Simon.

The Terrace Litile Theatre has always
thrived on its amateur actors presenting
professional performances. This play will
be no exception.

Veteran director Marianne Brorup |

Weston has confidence in her actors, some
of which are new to the craft.

“Ill be really solid; it’ll look great, and
both the actors and the audience will have
a blast,” said Brorup Weston.

Jim Branch, a Terrace Little Theatre
actor for more than 11 years, plays Oscar
Madison, the slob, in this long-running,
award-winning comedy. Jim has a gift for
learning lines, including other people’s,
but habitually knocks over furniture on the
set.

eccentric lead character. Dennis works
part-time for Williams Moving and Stor-
age, He has also worked in the drama de-

* partment at Acadia University and has
’ done some high school acting,

Julie Jacobs has played delightful roles
in many dinner theatre performances, bul
she is probably most noted for her support
acting ia Lizzy Borden’s “Blood Relation”.
As Gwendolyn Pigion in “The Odd
Couple”, she deals with dinner and the
agony of two divorces through the comedy.

Annette Martindale, know for both dir-.

ecting and acling at the McColl Playhouse,
has taken on the major challenge of a Brit-
ish accent for the role of Cicily Pigion,
Gwen’s sister in this play. Her director
feils, “it’s starting to come together.”.
Kevin Lorenz, with a self-professed
“altention span of a gnat”, has returned to
the Terrace Little Theatre as Vinnie, afler
