COPE INVITES YOU TO BE PART OF THE DEBATE The Health Risks of Environmental Contaminants FEATURING Dr. David Suzuki, one of Canada’s foremost scientists and environmentalists Dr. John Blatherwick, the City of Vancouver's Medical Health Officer Thursday, November 30, 7:30 p.m. Native Education Centre, 285 East 5th Avenue Discussion will focus on the Sept. 26, 1989 report to Vancouver city council entitled The Health Risks of Environmental Contaminants. This report expresses strong reservations regarding spending large sums of public money to address an increasing range of environmental and public health concerns. COPE does notagree with the main thrust of this report but beliéves there are many ideas in it which can be usefully discussed by Vancouver citizens. We hope that these speakers will assist COPE and the public to reach their own conclusions on standards for the urban environment. Craft table space is still available. If you are interested in selling your homemade crafts at this bazaar please contact Sylvia Surette at 274-5642 for further information. | JIM LOUIS a—| & COMPANY Trial Lawyers Uncontested divorce $200* j 4th Floor, 195 Alexander St. Capsssancing a2 00% Vancouver, B.C.
