A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of The City
of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall,
2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, February 5, 1990, at
7:30 p.m.

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates,
J.J. Keryluk, and W.W. Stewart, in attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A.
Freeman, City Engineer T.M. Chong and Director of Community Planning C. Felip.

SPECTAL PRESENTATION:

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced members of the Pee Wee A-1
Lacrosse Team - Provincial Silver Medal winners and Bantam B lacrosse Team —
Provincial Silver Medal and National Bronze Medal winners and presented them
with a Certificate of Recognition for their participation.

That the minutes of the Public Hearing and the Regular Council meeting
held on January 29th, 1990, be taken as read and adopted.

That the "City of Port Coquitlam Business. License Bylaw, 1973, No. 1237,
Amendment Bylaw, 1990, No. 2484." be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted.

Carried.

CORRESPONDENCE:

From the City of North Vancouver, January 17th, 1990 regarding
Reinstitution of the Office of Rentalsman.

WHEREAS there is a decreasing supply of affordable rental housing in the
Greater Vancouver Region;

AND WHEREAS increased pressures are being placed on local government to
resolve a problem that is neither of their making or within their authority to

resolve;
