October ist, 1984 /139 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitiam City Hall on Monday, October ist, 1984 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor LM. Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, Jed. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and MR. Wright in attendance. Aiso in attendance were City Administrator BR. Kirk, City Clerk” R.A. Freeman and Director of Community Planning W. Brown. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaw to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered: uo BL/01/84/ 10/01/01 Bylaw No. 2057: To rezone Lot 6 of Lot "Cc", District Lot 4, Group One, Plan 13333, New Westminster District, from RS-1 to RS~1A. This property Is located at 2489 Kitchener Avenue and after completion of the .rezoning procedures it is expected that +he property will be subdivided to provide a site for an additional single-family dwelling. - The following people were present at the Zoning Public Hear ing..and. expressed views on the proposed rezoning: Willtam Pratt, 2471 Kitchener Avenue — inquired regarding the proposed dwelling: design... Dave Baxter, Architect for project - was able to answer Mr. Pratt's questions. Bob Jones, 3530 Hastings Street - expressed his opposition to the proposed development and stated in his opinion this would set a4 precedent for other higher density development in the area; traffic problems and lack of privacy. bee tecees Ken McCartney, Real Estate Agent for the Developer, then explained the details of the proposed development and advised this proposal is +he best use of the property.
