A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on March 17th, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Assistant City Engineer L. Melnechenko, P. Eng., Project Engineer J. Cairns, P. Eng., City Planner L. Lee, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief J.N. Boileau, City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland, Recreation Director K.J. Taylor and tirs. D.L. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking advised the meeting the following proposed By-law to amend the "City of Fort Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered. By-law No. 1738: To rezone Lot 549 of a Plan of Subdivision in process of Lot 499, District Lot 232, Group 1, Plan 48968, New Westminster District, from RS-1 to RT-1. The City Planner then explained the proposed rezoning advising that the property is the southern most lot to be created in a proposed four lot subdivision of property at 1440 Pitt River Road and that it is expected that the lot that is the subject of the rezoning will have a duplex constructed thereon. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking advised the meeting the following proposed By-law to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered. By-law No. 1739: To rezone Lot 2, Block P, Discrict Lot 466, Group 1, Plan 16570, New Westminster District, from RS-1 to RS~LA. The City Planner explained the property is located at 1672 Prairie Avenue and consists of a single lot that is 82 feet wide by 149 feet deept and that the change in zoning proposed will permit the owner thereof to subdivide the property into two lots; one approximately 42 feet in width by 149 feet in depth and the other approximately 40 feet in width by 149 feet in depth.
